First sight! Emmerdale has welcomed a striking new addition to the village, when Rev Charles’ father, Victor, arrived in the village during Thursday’s episode
Why did he serve a long sentence and what does his release mean for his son Charles and ex-wife Claudette?
After Victor’s arrival hit the screens, Emmerdale Producer, Hannah Cheers explained, ‘Victor’s arrival in Emmerdale turns the lives of the Andersons upside down.
“The brilliant addition of Eddie Osei as Victor has allowed us to learn more about who the Andersons are and we can’t wait for the audience to watch as the drama unfolds.
As Claudette faces the husband she prayed she’d never see again, Charles faces painful traumas from the past and makes no secret of the fact that Victor isn’t welcome here. But who will win?’
Meanwhile, actor Eddie said, “I feel privileged to be part of such an amazing show and honored to work with the fantastic cast and crew.
“It’s very exciting for me to play Victor, who is such an enigmatic character and who causes so much trouble for the Anderson family!”
Before joining Emmerdale, Eddie previously had roles in Casualty, This Is England, Footballers Wives and EastEnders.
It’s because Emmerdale fans will also witness a shocking Whodunnit next week as the villagers all unite against Caleb Milligan.
Here he is! In an engaging sequence that aired at the end of the episode, viewers saw Reverend Charles meet his father after he was released from prison.
Caleb squares them all up and takes verbal potshots at each of them. Annoyed by the spectacle, Chas throws him out as the others watch bloody murder.
Caleb runs away, but unbeknownst to Caleb, a mysterious figure is chasing him. That evening, out on a forest ridge, Caleb is blinded when the unknown figure rushes out and pushes him over the edge – his lifeless body spreading on the ground below.
Back in the village, a number of suspicious characters all return from mysterious outings.
Beneath peaceful views of Yorkshire, Caleb’s body lies lifeless at the bottom of the ridge – who pushed him remains unclear…
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
