First ever Big Brother winner Craig Phillips is selling his £1.5 million family home
The first ever winner of Big Brother, Craig Phillips, has revealed he is selling his family home.
Parklaan The house that the do-it-yourselfer built with his wife Laura is located in the affluent Prescot area of Merseyside.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline Property and This is Money, he explained that the property was their ‘dream home’.
But their media work, including their success YouTube channel Mr & Mrs DIYmeans they need more space.

They have an office and studio at home, where six employees work. And they keep growing, so they need more space.
The five-bedroom property, built by Craig and his team, is called Park Avenue and is located in Eccleston Park, Prescot in Liverpool.
It sits on 0.6 hectares and extends over 7,265 square meters, with parking for more than 15 cars.
It is on the market with a price tag of £1.5 million and is being sold by Jackson-Stops estate agents.

Craig, who is also known for TV appearances such as ITV’s 60 Minute Makeover, said his family loved living there but were now looking for a new project in the Midlands.
“Laura and I have enjoyed living here in our dream building for the past four or five years,” he said.
‘However, we have now set our sights further afield, closer to the Midlands.
‘We are looking at a new chapter in our lives with a little more space in the countryside. We are then central to the whole family and I have many friends in that area.’

People often abandon a new project after completing their first DIY because of the stress.
But not Craig and his wife who are now looking for a piece of land.
Craig said: ‘You see some people go through stressful times when they build their own house.
“Even though I have a team of builders, it was still stressful because you have to juggle money. And things never go according to plan because things change organically.
‘Trying to build your own house is difficult. But it is also exciting. We looked at three or four plots, some close to the river. We also looked at some large houses with land that needed some work.”

The couple have created a gym in the house, with various machines and floor-to-ceiling mirrors

There is a cozy bar at the accommodation, with several bar stools and a chaise longue
He explained that their options offer room to expand. They now have children and a growing media company.
He said: “We are working from home and want to build a new TV studio as we now have about six employees here in-house. We have an office and studio, but we have outgrown it. We need more space.’
The offices and studio are intended for their media work Mr and Mrs DIYtheir YouTube channel with almost 400 videos.
“When we first built the house five years ago, we didn’t think about selling it, but we are entering a new chapter,” he concludes.
