First Dates star ‘in talks to take part in I’m A Celebrity’ after saying he would ‘never’ go on the reality show
First Dates’ Fred Sirieix is ’in talks to star in this year’s series I’m A Celebrity’, according to a new report.
The maître d’, 51, who previously said he would ‘never’ go on the ITV reality show, has been lined up in the hope that ‘he will be a hit with the ladies.’
Fred once revealed that although he ‘worships the frog legs’, the bush tucker trials do not meet his ‘gastronomy’ standard.
A TV insider said this The sun: ‘Show bosses are hoping he will be a hit with the ladies watching, which is one of the reasons they targeted him.
“Everyone is really excited that they’re getting close to signing him up.”

MailOnline has contacted ITV for comment.
In an interview with Hello! Last year he admitted that the bush tucker trials put him off ever taking part in the reality series.
‘I don’t think I would. “I’m a celebrity, I wouldn’t be too keen on eating a camel’s anus or something like that,” he explained.
‘I know I eat frogs, I’m French, but at least those frogs are cooked!
‘They are deliciously prepared, while a camel’s anus goes into the blender and you have to eat it raw. It’s terrible. I know people who have been there; it’s really not ‘gastronomy’.
It comes after the news that ITV’s cooking trio Gino D’Acampo, Gordon Ramsay and Fred are returning to our screens for a new series, despite Gino announcing his departure from their Road Trip in March.
Gino, Gordon and Fred: Viva España! will feature the famous three traveling around Spain on a new ride, airing on ITV and ITVX next month.
Gino quit the show for several reasons, including wanting to protect his friendships with his co-stars, spend more time with his family, and clear his schedule.
The final season of Road Trip was filmed and announced before the shock announcement that a third of the winning formula was leaving, ultimately dropping later than the previously promised “early 2023.”

In addition to the cooking and driving that comes with the three chefs’ road trip, the gourmets have ‘a few surprises’ in store for viewers, such as flamenco dancing.
Viewers can also look forward to two special episodes airing over the Christmas period, a festive first for the trio since 2020’s Desperately Seeking Santa episode in Lapland.
Gordon, Gino and Fred: Unseen also return with never-before-seen action from their previous antics.
