A first-class passenger has gone viral after being filmed bursting into tears when he was arrested over an altercation over a pre-take-off gin and tonic.

The unidentified man had supposedly asked for the cocktail but was refused by officers, leading to an argument that led staff to call the police.

Social media was quick to take down the “man child” who was later filmed sobbing as he was arrested on the American Airlines flight jet bridge.

The clip begins with the man being ordered to leave by officers – which he refuses.

Fellow passengers are heard begging the man to leave the plane, but he remains seated while arguing with officers.

At one point he takes out his phone to record the altercation, but it is promptly removed from his hand.

Officers then drag him from his seat and argue with him in the aisle.

The man yells “stop” repeatedly before bursting into tears.

After finally exiting the plane, he continues to whimper as he falls to the ground and is pinned down by officers who handcuff him.

It is not clear why he was refused the gin and tonic or how the situation escalated.

Under American Airlines rules, first-class passengers are entitled to a pre-takeoff drink.

The man reportedly complained that he was not guilty of a crime.

However, the U.S. Department of Transportation says airlines may remove any passenger for reasons related to “safety, security, or health risks, or due to conduct deemed obscene, disruptive, or otherwise unlawful.”

The video was posted to TikTok and shared on Reddit, where it garnered more than 4,000 comments.

‘I didn’t expect him to cry like that! What a man child!’ one wrote.

Another said, “When his shoe came off, it reminded me of my 5-year-old nephew when he doesn’t want to take a nap but is clearly tired.”

It comes after a spate of bad behavior on US flights.

Last month, shocking video footage captured the moment a father assaulted a passenger unprovoked in front of his children on a Southwest Airlines flight.

In the violent confrontation, the man put another man in a headlock while others on board were forced to intervene, shouting, “Don’t hit him again.”

Meanwhile, a flight from LA to Boston made headlines this week after a passenger threatened to “kill every man on this plane.”

Francisco Severo Torres, 33, of Leominster, Massachusetts, was charged with one count of interfering and attempted interfering with crew members using a dangerous weapon after stabbing a flight attendant with a broken spoon.

In a video shot by a fellow passenger sitting just a few steps away, Torres can be heard threatening to commit mass murder while urging others to stop him.
