Fired-up Caitlin Clark pushes WNBA rival away and argues with fan as tempers flare in crucial playoff game

Caitlin Clark briefly lost her cool Wednesday night as tension flared between the Indiana Fever rookie and Connecticut Sun forward DeWanna Bonner.

As the Fever look to keep their hopes of a WNBA playoff berth alive, Clark could push Bonner aside before the two clashed amid heated arguments.

The 22-year-old appeared furious when she was not whistled for a potential foul in the touchdown zone after going down following a foul by the Sun star.

Clark started the angry scene by complaining to the referee about the no call.

Bonner was standing close to the conversation and interrupted it, prompting Clark to shove her Sun opponent.

Lexie Hull, Clark’s teammate, quickly jumped in to separate the two, but was also able to talk to Bonner.

The sport’s most heated moments are common in playoff games, with every possession at stake. That’s more than served Clark well, knowing her rookie season is over with a loss on Wednesday night.

Bonner and Clark both started for Team WNBA during the league’s All-Star Game in July, after neither made Team USA for the Olympic Games in Paris.

The WNBA All-Stars handed Team USA their only loss of the summer that night in Phoenix.
