Fired-up AOC tells chanting Democratic convention why she would he ‘happy’ to be a bartender again… and gives Trump a new nickname
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she would be “happy” to become a bartender, calling Donald Trump a “two-for-one union buster” who would sell the country for “one dollar.”
“Republicans have attacked me, saying I should go back behind the bar,” the New York Democrat said during her speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
“I can tell you that I am happy every day of the week because there is nothing wrong with working for a living.”
“Donald Trump would sell this country for a dollar if it meant lining his own pockets and greasing the hands of his Wall Street buddies,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
The audience chanted “AOC” during her speech.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she’d be ‘happy’ to be a bartender as she called Donald Trump a ‘two-for-one union buster’ who would sell the country for ‘a dollar’
“I’m sick of hearing a union man like Buster think of himself more as a patriot than as the woman who fights every day to help working people get ahead.”
The speech was clearly approved by the establishment and formed a political movement that transformed the congressman from a progressive rabid to a Democrat who embraces the party platform and leaders.
At this convention, Ocasio-Cortez was given a primetime, first-night speaking slot. Last time in 2020, she was given just 90 seconds to give a virtual speech to symbolically endorse Senator Bernie Sanders for the nomination.
Democrats are meeting to formally nominate Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to lead the top of their ticket.
‘Over the next 78 days, we will have to do everything we can to make history on November 5.
“But we can’t just send Kamala and Tim to the White House. We also need to elect strong Democratic majorities to the House and Senate so we can deliver an ambitious agenda for the people. Because if you’re a working parent trying to pay rent and child care, Kamala is for you. If you’re a senior who had to go back to work because your retirement didn’t go far enough, Kamala is for you. If you’re an immigrant family just starting your American story, Kamala is for you.”

As an antidote to “Make America Great Again,” Democrats say, “We’re not going back.”
“When we knock on our neighbors’ doors, organize our communities, and elect Kamala Harris as president on November 5th, we are sending a loud and clear message that the people of this country will not go back,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
