Sydney’s mother Vanessa Tadros, 36, and her son Nicholas, 10, took their last photo together moments before boarding a helicopter flight at Gold Coast Sea World on Monday afternoon.
Its flight spent 20 seconds in the air before crashing into another Sea World helicopter, shearing rotor blades in the other aircraft’s cockpit and ripping out its own rotor and gearbox unit.
Ms Tadros, pilot Ash Jenkinson and British couple Ron and Dianne Hughes were tragically killed in the crash.
Nicholas was seriously injured with his father, Simon Tadros, and it was revealed on Wednesday that the boy is in critical condition and still doesn’t know his mother is dead.

“The saddest part of all is that the family had to witness everything, there are a lot of them together,” they said.
“We are more on the Gold Coast and we also have relatives abroad who must be kept informed. It’s a tragedy.
Ms Tadros’s bereaved family has begun closing down their popular Sydney-based event planning business, Vee Vee Creations.
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have to inform everyone of the passing of my beautiful wife and mother of my son Vanessa,” Mr. Tadros wrote on the company’s Facebook page.
