Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth finally fixes the Platinum Trophy bug with the latest patch

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players should now have no trouble getting their hands on the game’s Platinum Trophy, as Square Enix has finally fixed the bug that was affecting completion.

Last week Square Enix reassured fans that it would implement a fix to its role-playing game via a planned update after fans reported being unable to complete the ‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop’ sidequest in the Gold Saucer.

Some who aimed to complete the game 100% by getting all the PlayStation 5 trophies were unable to do so due to the bug, but thankfully a patch has been rolled out, which fixes the problem while adding new improvements to functionality and stability (through GameRadar).

Patch 1,030 is now available for download and it appears that the problem surrounding the ‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop’ mission stems from a sub-quest called ‘Challenge from a Player’ that appears in Chapter 12, where the quest would appear that the player’s progress even if the clear conditions for the Gold Saucer’s G-Bike mini-game were met.

Although the bug has now been fixed, Square Enix notes that you will need to “re-comply with the G Bike’s clear terms and conditions after the update,” but previous progress in the quest has not been reset.

Elsewhere, new levels should now be released correctly in the Battle Simulator, and the issue where the ‘Sabotender Senbon Knocker’ trophy could not be obtained even if the conditions were met has also been resolved. You can read the full patch notes below.
