Final Fantasy 16 is finally coming to PC next month
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy 16 will finally hit PC next month.
More than a year after launching exclusively on the PS5, the critically acclaimed action role-playing game (RPG) makes its debut on Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 17.
A free demo is also available to play now on both platforms, allowing users to experience the first few hours of the game, as well as the ‘Eikonic Challenge’ mode created specifically for this demo, after completing the opening portion of the story.
The saved story data will be transferred to the full version, which also requires 170 GB of free space.
The announcement was accompanied by a brand new trailer, which you can check out below:
Final Fantasy 16The Standard Edition is available to pre-order now, as well as the Complete Edition, which comes with the base game and the two downloadable content (DLC) chapters, Echoes of the Fallen And The rising tideboth of which were released post-launch on the PS5.
Players can choose to play the DLC chapters separately or together with the Final Fantasy 16 Expansion pass, which includes both.
Those who pre-order the game through Steam or the Epic Games Store will receive additional in-game DLC items, including the Brave Blade Weapon, a Cait Sith Charm (Gil Boost Accessory), and the “Sixteen Bells” Orchestrion Roll.
Earlier this year, Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida said the RPG would perform better on high-end PCs than the PS5, with the development team seeing “over 100 FPS” on some hardware.
In Ny Breaking Gaming’s five-star review, we called the game “a shining example of story-driven gaming at its best, with an immersive story and cinematic action that invites you into a detailed world.”
