Figma’s Link DX TOTK action figure is full of tricks
Good Smile’s Figma is taking pre-orders for its versatile action figure based on Link The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for the Nintendo Switch. This 5.9-inch “Link DX” figure costs $115.99 at the Good Smile US store and won’t be available until March 2025, but it should be worth the wait – and the money. Other retailers accept pre-orders, but at a higher costin case Good Smile sells through its pre-order offering.
Just like in the game, this Link action figure has a whole host of tricks. It comes with goodies like the Master Sword, King Rauru’s right arm, a Construct bow and arrow, a stone fused to a stick, and a Zonai missile, among several other supplies. My favorite feature is that Link can be split at the torso and stuck to a circular pad, which summons his fun Ascend ability from the game, allowing him to magically travel up through hard surfaces to reach higher ground.
Thanks to the range of accessories, this Link figure can assume numerous poses commonly encountered in the game. Better yet, Link’s face can be swapped so his emotion matches his actions. You get standard, smiling and screaming face plates. With the included stand, Link looks like he’s rocketing up to the Sky Tier with a Zonai missile fused to his shield, dangling from his paraglider, or like he’s swinging the Rock Hammer hard at an unsuspecting fool. Those are just some of the possibilities.
I can’t think of a better gift for yourself or for another Zelda fan than this customizable figure. But if $149.99 is (understandably) out of your budget, Figma makes a $79.99 version that’s just as detailed but comes with fewer accessories.
