FIFA Unveils Logo For 2026 World Cup… And Fans Brand Worn Design ‘ANEMIC’ Ahead Of Tournament In US, Mexico And Canada

While the 2026 World Cup is highly anticipated, the logo unveiled by FIFA for the tournament on Wednesday is already coming under fire from fans.
At an unveiling in Los Angeles, the football board unveiled the official logo of the league hosted by the US, Mexico and Canada.
And FIFA kept it simple as the design has stacked a 2 on top of a 6 and placed the World Cup trophy on top.
Fans were quick to criticize the shabby design of the tournament, which kicks off in just over three years.
“Not a very impressive logo, especially from a designer’s perspective… it’s okay. Mediocre at best,” said one Twitter user said.
‘Would have been better seen if all the other logos weren’t so iconic, both artistically and symbolically.

Another fan had an interesting theory.
‘Okay, I’ll say it. Someone forgot to let someone design a logo and they had an AI bot do it,” she said said. “You can’t pull one over us.”
Although fans were quick to criticize the logo, it is the first time the trophy image has been used in a logo for the World Cup.
Each of the 16 host cities will also have its own branding with unique colors and style, FIFA announced.
But fans weren’t exactly focused on the positives.

“It’s very bland and rather bland,” another supporter closed on Twitter. “The tournament is hosted in all three North American countries and this logo does not represent any of them.
The competition itself, which will feature 48 teams for the first time, will be North America’s first World Cup since 1994 and will put football on a huge stage in the region.
‘[This tournament] will be beyond our imagination,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino said during the launch event.
The same cannot be said about the logo.
