A fiery septuagenarian has been arrested for punching a man several times during an altercation at his Florida home after allegedly calling her an ‘Italian b****’.
New York native Linda Marie Caccese, 71, now lives in “Florida’s Friendliest Hometown” after trading the fast pace of Brooklyn and Staten Island for The Villages.
She had driven her silver Nissan pickup to a nearby home on Trifu Terrace when a friend offered to help with the Bluetooth function on her cell phone.
Suddenly a man came out and ordered her to leave his property.
“When I pulled up, he came out of the house, swore at me and called me all kinds of names,” she said.
Speaking to the New York PostCaccese said her close friend lived in the same house as the man, but did not elaborate on the nature of their relationship.
She added: “He doesn’t like me, probably because I take my girlfriend out of the house that is a prison for her.”
Linda Marie Caccese, 71, was arrested on October 2 after allegedly punching a man who called her an ‘Italian b****’
The seventy-year-old got into an argument with the man, who lives with her boyfriend, when she arrived at the house and sought help with her mobile phone.
The man demanded that she leave his property, to which Caccese allegedly responded: “That’s not necessary.”
According to a police report, Caccese allegedly told him “you don’t have to” when she was ordered to leave.
The man fired back, calling her an “Italian bastard” — and that’s when Caccese got out of her truck and charged at him.
He stormed back into the house and locked the door.
“Come over here and say that!” she said. “Come over here and call me that!”
Caccese began banging on the door and hitting the side door windows with her fists.
The man told police he was “afraid” she would break them, so he opened the door.
Once the door was slightly ajar, the 71-year-old punched him in the face “two to three times and continued to grab him,” the report said.
When she refused to leave, the man called Caccesse an “Italian b****,” prompting her to get out of her truck and storm to the front door.
Caccesse later admitted that she had managed to land a few punches. She was subsequently arrested and booked into the Sumter County Detention Center
“He doesn’t like me,” she said of the man, “probably because I’m taking my boyfriend out of her house, which is a prison for her.”
Caccese claimed she “burst into a rage.”
She pushed her way in, but he pushed her back out.
A woman in the house – possibly a friend of Caccese’s – tried to separate them during the fight.
Cassese, who was arrested on October 2 on battery charges, can be seen frowning in her mugshot.
“They told me it was because I was on his property,” she said of the police. “I tried to tell them I was invited to come there.”
During the struggle, Caccese said the man grabbed her arm and left a bruise.
She argued that she was forced to defend herself – and admitted that she managed to land several blows.
The senior was booked into the Sumter County Detention Center the same evening and released after posting $500 bail.
