After a 3-0 win against Go Ahead Eagles, Feyenoord has only won its second national title since the turn of the millennium.

They passed Go Ahead in the middle of the table with a comfortable win on Sunday to round out the Eredivisie championship.

With two games to go, they lead number two PSV by eight points, with AZ Alkmaar in third place and struggling Ajax in fourth place.

Arne Slot’s team led 2-0 within 18 minutes thanks to goals from Oussama Idrissi and Santiago Gimenez.

They never relinquished control, and Igor Paixao scored in the second half to put the spotlight on victory.

Feyenoord has conquered the title for the second time since 1999 by beating Go Ahead Eagles 3-0.

Feyenoord have won 16 titles, but before 2017 their last was in 1999.

Ajax’s Eredivisie match against Groningen was canceled this weekend.

The game was stopped because angry Groningen residents invaded the field to demonstrate against the owners after their relegation.
