Feuding Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield returned to This Morning today – with insiders describing Phil as a ‘shell of himself’ on set and Holly saying she looked forward to ‘a future full of joy, love and endless possibilities’.

Insiders have claimed that Phil has become “increasingly withdrawn” and left “almost a shell of himself.” One told The mirror: ‘He seems down and spends a lot of time in his dressing room. We’re worried about him.’

Meanwhile, Holly was in a reflective mood in her latest Monday newsletter to subscribers of her wellness brand Wylde Moon, where she revealed she’d gotten some advice from a friend.

Today, a source suggested that public skepticism about the couple’s attempt to put up a united front could force ITV bosses to make a ‘tough decision’.
