Lando Norris was brutally trolled after England’s painful defeat to Spain in the 2024 European Championship final.
The Three Lions’ long wait for a major men’s trophy will now reach 60 years after goals from Nico Williams and Mikel Oyarzabal condemned them to a second successive European Championship victims in a 2-1 defeat in Berlin
Norris was present at the final of the 2020 European Championship, which was defeated by Italy in Wembley. Due to the absence of Formula 1, he travelled to Berlin last weekend for this spectacle.
The McLaren driver was pictured paying his respects to Jude Bellingham after the race, but when he arrived at the Hungarian Grand Prix paddock, he was in for a surprise.
In contrast to the disappointment Norris felt after England’s defeat, Spanish drivers Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz would have been very happy with La Roja’s victory.

A photo of Norris’ parking space, with the text ‘2-1, Viva Espana!’ defaced, has gone viral on social media.
When asked about the photo before Friday’s practice, Alonso quickly denied responsibility, saying: ‘No, not me! There’s another Spanish driver. So yes, definitely not me.’
Many at the time thought that Sainz, Norris’ teammate at McLaren, had written the message, but it later turned out to be the Ferrari driver’s manager and cousin, Carlos Onoro.
Sainz was questioned and said: ‘In a sport dominated by the English, we have to remind them every now and then who’s boss’.
Spain’s success at Euro 2024 capped an unforgettable weekend for the European nation after Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic earlier in the day to win Wimbledon.
And Aston Martin driver Alonso was delighted with his compatriots’ success and hopes to shine in Hungary this weekend.

“The whole country certainly enjoyed it. Tennis, we’ve had an incredible run with Rafa Nadal for many, many years,” Alonso said.
“Two decades at number one and now with Carlos, so yeah, I think we’re in good hands there. He’s very young, very talented. I think the whole country enjoys every time he plays.
‘And in football too, of course, it only happens once every four years, or once every two years if there’s a World Cup. It was a good match on Sunday, really enjoyed it.
‘I wanted to win this one because when you go back to the race weekend, with all the mechanics and everyone in the garage, it’s obviously much better this way.’
