Ferrari first full trailer: Adam Driver looks unrecognizable as he transforms into car mogul Enzo Ferrari as Penelope Cruz plays his wife Laura
The first full trailer for Ferrari was released on Wednesday, starring Adam Driver as the main character.
The 38-year-old movie star plays car magnate Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the globally beloved luxury car brand that bears his name.
Adam plays a white-haired Enzo on the brink of his 60th birthday, a time when he was known as ‘il Grande Vecchio’ – ‘the Grand Old Man’.
For his role, he wore a wig and prosthetics to transform into the aging Italian mogul.
In his younger years, when he became a pioneering businessman from the ground up after a career as a racing driver, Ferrari was known as ‘il Commendatore’ – ‘the commander’.
He looks dapper in a perfectly tailored three-piece suit as he stands at a race track.

The logline for the film reads: A biopic of car magnate Enzo Ferrari, whose family redefined the idea of the high-performance Italian sports car and practically spawned the concept of Formula 1 racing.
Also starring in the film are Patrick Dempsey as fellow driver Piero Taruffi, Jack O’Connell as racer Peter Collins, Sarah Gadon as Linda Christian and Gabriel Leone as driver Alfonso de Portago.
Ferrari is set in 1957. It is just before the tragic Mille Miglia race.
