Feminist writer Clementine Ford's podcast is axed by Nova amid backlash over her controversial views on the Israel-Gaza conflict

Clementine Ford's podcast has officially been shut down.

The feminist activist, 42, announced Wednesday that Nova Entertainment had canceled her podcast “Dear Clementine” after two years with the network.

Although she did not explain why, Clementine suggested that her controversial views on the Israeli-Gaza conflict may have forced Nova's hand.

Clementine has been heavily criticized in recent weeks for attacking supporters of Israel and has been accused of stoking anti-Semitism locally.

She recently labeled the Albanian government's support for Israel as “pathetic” and “gross”, writing online: “You are pathetic, you disgust me and I pity you because you are so damn base and rude that you think that others should do so. applaud the murder of thousands just to make you feel better.”

In her post on Wednesday, Clementine boasted about her achievements as a podcaster and described herself as a woman with “strong opinions on genocide.”

“During my two years at @novapodcastsofficial we had a lot of wins. Not only did we recently celebrate one million downloads, but 'Dear Clementine' also won Best Podcast Series at the 2023 Mumbrella Publish Awards,” she wrote.

“But all good things must come to an end – especially award-winning podcasts hosted by women with strong views on genocide.”

Clementine then announced her new podcast 'Untethered', which will be aimed at 'the free-thinking woman who knows who she is and isn't afraid to say it'.

Untethered will start streaming in January.

She ended her post with a defiant message to her critics: “A reminder… you can try your hardest to destroy me, but you will never win… I will always be 'untethered'.”

When contacted for comment, a Nova spokesperson confirmed: 'The Nova Podcasts team is continually reviewing our slate of titles, which may result in the discontinuation of some shows.'

“I can confirm that 'Dear Clementine' is one of the podcasts that will not be renewed in 2024.”
