A female prison guard has been suspended after she was allegedly filmed having sex with a ‘burly, tattooed’ prisoner.
The 19-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office after video of the alleged romp was captured at HMP Five Wells last week.
The footage captured at Wellingborough Prison allegedly showed the officer performing a sex act on the convict before they had intercourse. The sun reports.
The video has reportedly been shared with other prisoners in the £235m Category C prison, as well as friends who are not behind bars.
Concerns about the availability of drugs and other illegal items, as well as food shortages and staff safety at HMP Five Wells, were raised by independent inspectors last October.
In their latest report, the Independent Monitoring Board (IMB) found that several problems had worsened, with medicines said to be ‘routinely available’.
During the year-long review, at least 25 percent of prisoners at HMP Five Wells who were randomly tested for illegal substances were found to be positive.
A source branded the incident “shocking” in light of scandals in other prisons, telling the publication that the prison worker’s career is “effectively over.”
“The female guard is incredibly stupid,” the source said, before joking that the prison guard had “risked everything.”

“I know they’re called screws, but you can’t sleep with prisoners in your prison and you certainly can’t do that on camera,” they added.
The prison, which is operated by security company G4S, initially opened in 2022 and houses around 1,700 male prisoners.
A spokesperson for HMP Five Wells said: ‘A prison officer has been suspended and arrested by Northamptonshire Police on suspicion of misconduct in a public office.
“It would be inappropriate to comment further while they investigate.”
A spokesperson for Northampton Police said: ‘A 19-year-old woman has been arrested by Northamptonshire Police on suspicion of misconduct in a public office.
“This is a live investigation and therefore we are unable to comment further at this time.”
It comes shortly after another female prison guard from HMP Five Wells romped with an armed robber in a prison storage room and later had his baby.

CCTV footage also showed the pair entering a prison storage room for an hour of ‘intimacy’, Northampton Crown Court heard.
Following the discovery of their relationship, the mother of five was suspended from prison in 2022, while her convicted lover, who served ten and a half years behind bars, was transferred to another prison.
After her suspension, Stanton continued to visit the inmate and the couple now share a child but have since divorced.
In July, she admitted willful misconduct in public office and was given an 18-month suspended sentence and ordered to participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities.
It comes as a record number of female prison guards were sacked for having sex with male prisoners in the past three years – with 29 fired.
This figure compares to just nine people who lost their jobs between 2017 and 2019 for the same crime, with some cutting holes in their uniforms to facilitate sexual acts.
Earlier in June, HMP Wandsworth officer Linda De Sousa Abreu butted heads on camera with serial burglar Linton Welrich in his cell.
In July she pleaded guilty to misconduct in a public office at Isleworth Crown Court and was due to return to court for sentencing in November.
More recently, the disgraced prison guard was spotted making fun of her ankle monitor at a London party in September.
The 30-year-old was spotted partying at a club during the day and quoted the TikTok trend “very conscious, very cute, very demure” as she pointed to her electronic tag.
She is believed to have quit her job as a prison officer at the south London prison following the scandal

The phrase has become very popular on TikTok after it was first used by Joolie Lebron, who made a funny video about beauty etiquette in the workplace.
But De Sousa Abreu has been criticized for the reference. “It’s disgusting that she has no shame,” a source told The Sun.
‘She’s laughing her head off and looks happy to have a label to show off.
“She has disgraced herself in public office and now she no longer has any concern about punishment.
“Clearly if she thinks her anklet looks like a piece of jewelry, she didn’t mind.”
De Sousa Abreu was said to be having ‘problems in her marriage’ when the x-rated clip was filmed.
She admitted to having sex with burglar Weirich, but said she only wanted to participate after delays threatened to expose her career as an amateur porn star.
Close friend Hayley, who only wanted to give her first name, told MailOnline that De Sousa Abreu had reportedly been going through a “very difficult time” at work and claimed inmates knew her husband’s name and about her OnlyFans account.
