- Kate Fallon has been fired by the NRLW
- Footballer allegedly attacked teenager
- Alleged dispute arises over failed food delivery
NRLW player Kate Fallon has been withdrawn from this weekend’s first round after being charged over the alleged assault of a teenager at an apartment complex in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
The Parramatta Eels outside the complex was attacked after emergency services were called to an apartment complex at Namatjira Place in Chifley at around 1.30pm last Tuesday.
Ms Fallon, 20, was not included in the Eels’ top 17 for their NRLW season opener against Brisbane on Saturday afternoon.
The NRL announced on Thursday afternoon that Ms Fallon had been withdrawn from last weekend’s match.
However, the NRL said she was not suspended under the sport’s ‘no fault’ rule, which allows the governing body to sideline players accused of serious offences.
“Due to extenuating circumstances, the NRL will give the player additional consideration before determining whether further action is necessary, including the possible imposition of the No-Fault Stand Down Condition,” the NRL said in a statement on Thursday afternoon.
Ms Fallon is due to appear in court on August 14.
Paramedics treated a 17-year-old girl for head injuries during the incident last week before she was taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital as a precaution.

The teenager was rushed to hospital after the alleged incident left her with a head injury and bleeding. The NRLW star was accused of using an unknown object to inflict the injury.
Ms Fallon was arrested at the scene and charged with assault with intent to cause bodily harm.
The girl’s father told 2GB on Thursday that the alleged altercation occurred when she placed a $70 UberEats order and the food failed to arrive.
He described her injuries as “horrific.”
“She’s not that bad, considering what she’s been through, you know what I mean,” he said.
‘And the funny thing is I haven’t had a call from anyone, from the NRLW, Parramatta or even the Integrity Unit.’
Parramatta said in a statement it was aware of the matter but would not comment publicly.
