Felicity Kendal has admitted that she “doesn’t care” how she looks at the age of 76 as she reflects on the “shocking” reaction to her use of Botox.

In the article, she said: ‘Do I care what I look like at 76? Not really. I like to be presentable, as my mother used to say, but that’s good manners, not vanity.

“I have talked about the use of Botox in the past and it seemed to cause such a buzz, like it was a shocking modern phenomenon.

Felicity added that she feels modern times are “pretty tame” when it comes to women’s appearance, adding that in the 1970s they were “not afraid” to dress up.

In 2021, Felicity caught the attention of fans during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, showing off her youthful face while discussing her latest big stage role in Anything Goes.

The Good Life star previously revealed that she’s a fan of Botox, telling the sunday time magazine: “I do it every six months, so you don’t get the terrible little frown line.”

However, the grandmother of two has since revealed that she has given up Botox and is instead relying on yoga, Pilates and weight lifting to stay young.

She said Good Housekeeping magazine: ‘There comes a point where you have to unite parts of yourself with the other parts.’

While she has never had a facelift, the actress has had fillers around her mouth.

Felicity explained, “There was a time when you would think, I’m over 60, I can’t ever wear a short skirt again because of my wrinkled knees.”

“Then you come out the other end and say, fuck, I have great legs, I’m going to put on stockings and a short skirt.”

In 2007, aged 67, Kendal told The Daily Mail why she was taking a break from Botox, though she may have revisited since then.

She said: ‘I haven’t done fillers or Botox for a long time. There comes a point where you have to match parts of yourself to the other parts, otherwise you get a terribly random situation.

Felicity said that she stopped using Botox in 2010 during an interview in 2012, but said at the time she was thinking of going back to using it one more time.

“I might have it again soon,” he said. “It’s nice not to have lines when you frown, especially on TV. I don’t know why people make such a fuss about it. Nobody cares if a woman covers her teeth or dyes her hair.

And no squinting around the delicate eye area for Felicity. She had severe astigmatism for years, which meant that she needed to use a magnifying glass to put on her makeup. Then, fed up with squinting, she underwent a lens implant in 2009.

Felicity was named Rear of the Year in 1981, no less, and has maintained a shapely figure through exercise and an active sex life, saying, “It’s a part of life, like eating or breathing.”

Felicity became a beloved household name starring in The Good Life, even though it only ran for 30 episodes over four series.

The mother of two converted to Judaism while married to her second husband, Michael Rudman, who is Jewish.

The couple divorced in 1990 but have since gotten back together. Her first marriage to actor Drewe Henley lasted 11 years and she was only 21 when they got married.

She has two grandchildren, but says she has 12 in all, since she counts her late sister’s children and their children as her own, as well as Rudman’s from her first marriage.
