The official Friday The 13th X account paid tribute to Anderson after his death.
“My husband Erich passed away this morning,” Trainor wrote. “I share the words of my brother-in-law Michael O’Malley because I am too bereft to write anything right now.”
His brother added moving words.
‘He had a long successful career as an actor – he was 30 something in that old show; he was Felicity’s father on Felicity; he was murdered in a basement in a Friday the 13th movie: he was on Star Trek and dozens of other shows,” O’Malley continued on Instagram.
“He was a smart and funny guy, a fantastic cook; he wrote three great novels that you can find on Amazon. I will miss him, but his ordeal is over.”
Eve Gordon, who played Felicity’s mother, Barbara Porter, also had kind words for Anderson.
“My beautiful friend, Erich Anderson, has said goodbye,” Gordon, 63, wrote on Instagram.

“He was a beautiful part of the world. I loved him. I wish you knew him, there was no one like him.”
She continued, “So funny, so open to whatever the day brought him, so incredibly cynical and joyful at the same time. After JJ [Abrams] and Matt [Reeves] on Felicity caused us to divorce, I saw him less on set but was always happy when we found each other in LA, we chatted for hours. He was so smart.’
“Ah, look at Erich, I’m using the past tense,” Gordon added. “My friend, I hope I see you again in dreams and other dimensions. Fly high, my friend.”
