The Washington Commanders locker room had no hot water after their loss to the New York Giants.

Washington players initially claimed there was no water at all in the locker rooms after Sunday’s game Washingtonpost.

However, a team spokesperson later clarified that there was only no hot water in the dressing rooms of both the home and away teams.

That meant the Commanders players had to take cold showers for a while after the brutal loss Washingtonpost.

“We had an equipment failure in the main boiler that supplies hot water to the field level changing rooms,” the spokesperson said.

The Giants have just one win this season, against Arizona, and none against Washington

“We cannot resolve the issue without completely cutting off the water supply to the stadium. That’s why it couldn’t be repaired during the match,” the spokesperson continued.

“So they literally and figuratively stink,” said another Commanders fan on social media.

The Commanders lost to the Giants for the second time this season on Sunday, 31-19. With the loss, Washington turned the ball over six times. New York had no turnover.

New York improved to 3-8 on the season, with its lone win against Washington coming in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals.

What once seemed like a promising season for the Commanders has completely fallen by the wayside.

Washington falls to 4-7 and has lost four of its last five games and seven of its last nine.
