A single woman has described how ‘horrific’ and ‘grim’ Australia’s dating scene is – and she’s not alone.
Kim, 32, claims she is constantly ghosted and gaslit soon after meeting new people and urges men to “do better” when it comes to dating.
The beautiful blonde from Melbourne said she was “mentally drained” from learning about new singles, which sparked the first spark.
“It really is such an absolute shit show,” Kim said in a TikTok video.
“I’m 33 this year and thought I would have met someone at this age… It’s really, so bad out there. Last year I was ghosted by so many different men.’

How is this still happening at my age? Do better guys! Please! Because I’m so tired of this,” she said in a TikTok video
Kim continued by explaining how singles eager to meet the right person should be attentive when it comes to dating.
But meeting new potential partners can be physically and mentally exhausting over time.
Kim claims she has been ghosted, gaslit, manipulated and has also dealt with liars.
“People have made me feel so bad for communicating my basic needs and setting personal boundaries. I’ve had them gaslighting for doing this. I then ghosted them for doing this,” she continued.
“It’s literally horrific. I think people think there are so many other options.
Don’t get me wrong, I think the dating apps and social media definitely gave that [idea] to people. It does show that there are so many options.’
The fed up single said she feels “mentally exhausted,” she is from the whole ordeal and is nothing but disappointed.
“I’m tired of guys chasing me, chasing me, wanting something, telling me all these great things and making me think they’re interested — and then as soon as I get close to them, drop my walls a little bit and be vulnerable, they retreat,” she said.

‘[I’m] 46 in Adelaide and it’s an absolute *** show there. It’s happening everywhere, dating apps have ruined everything!!!” one woman remarked.
And most think they’re a godsend when they’re barely a 2/10! They always chase the next best thing,” said another.
A third added: “Options are addictive, apps give too many options.”
‘I’m 43 in Melbourne. No conversation and the crumbling of dates it puts my head in,” said another.
Others added that they have accepted being single instead of continuing to look for a real connection.
