Lamar Jackson missed practice for the Baltimore Ravens for the second day in a row with back and knee problems.
The quarterback was absent Wednesday, but coach John Harbaugh suggested it wasn’t a major concern for the team.
But with Jackson absent for a second straight practice session, fears are inevitably starting to grow.
The Ravens surprisingly lost to the Cleveland Browns last weekend, dropping to 5-3 on the season. This weekend they take on the Denver Broncos.
Jackson is off to perhaps the best start of his career, with a passer rating of 115.4.
He has thrown for 2,099 yards and 17 touchdowns with just two interceptions. He also has 501 yards rushing.
Last season, the Ravens lost the AFC Championship game to the eventual Super Bowl winner Kansas City Chiefs.
But this season, with Jackson boosted by the arrival of running back Derrick Henry, the Ravens have been picked by many to go all out.
After Sunday’s loss, Jackson said, “This is the NFL. Every Sunday a team can be good. We just have to play better everywhere.
“We didn’t make the plays. We did not make the choice to win the match and missed many opportunities.’
