Coca-Cola has recalled tens of thousands of cans of Diet Coke, Sprite and Fanta Orange because they may be contaminated with 'foreign material'.
Nearly 2,000 cases — the equivalent of about 48,000 cans — sold in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida since Nov. 6 were affected.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall in a filing, saying the recall is complete and there are no affected cans left on the market.

The contaminated cans were manufactured by United Packers in Alabama.
The recall included 12-ounce aluminum cans. The FDA did not specify what the “foreign material” was.
This is the second time Coca-Cola has recalled products due to foreign material. In 2021, the company recalled 7,000 cases of Minute Maid juice because it contained items such as washers or bolts.
The affected flavors included Berry Punch, Strawberry Lemonade and Fruit Punch.
Consumers are urged to throw away the affected cans and not drink from them.
