FBI was ‘reluctant’ to aggressively pursue Biden bribery allegations connected to Ukraine bombshell testimony by ex-US Attorney reveals

There was an ‘reluctance’ by the FBI to aggressively pursue leads tied to Joe and Hunter Biden’s ties to corrupt Ukrainian oil company Burisma, a former top prosecutor has revealed.

Former U.S. Attorney Scott Brady had a transcribed interview with members and staff of the House Judiciary Committee this week as Republicans step up their investigation into the Biden family’s foreign business dealings.

Brady, the former top prosecutor in Pittsburgh, was tasked in 2020 by former Attorney General Bill Barr to investigate “allegations of Ukrainian corruption broadly,” which he said extended to President Joe Biden’s son Hunter’s role in the administration from energy company Burisma Holdings.

According to his testimony, reviewed by DailyMail.com, Brady told congressional investigators that “there was a reluctance on the part of the FBI to actually perform any task related to our assignment.”

Brady revealed that there were tensions between himself, US Attorney David Weiss – the lead prosecutor in the investigation into Hunter’s alleged gun and tax crimes – and the FBI.

During his testimony, Brady called it a “challenging working relationship” and even called it “problematic.”

According to the conversation between a confidential source and Burisma CFO Vadim Pojarski in 2015, Hunter Biden was hired to the company’s board of directors to “protect us, through his father, from all kinds of problems”

In one case, he said current special counsel Weiss had actually missed a key briefing on bribery allegations by the Bidens.

For Brady, this meant the Justice Department’s unwillingness to pursue these leads.

On another occasion, he said that seventeen individuals within the FBI had to sign orders under his jurisdiction – an unprecedented amount of surveillance that he had never experienced before.

He added that he had “never in my career” seen such a huge approval chain.

In addition, Brady stated that FBI special agents were instructed by leadership to “get in the pen,” which is what they meant couldn’t take one investigative actions – for weeks – pending approvals.

He called it “incredibly frustrating” and often delayed his ability to verify the information they uncovered regarding the Bidens.

During Brady’s review of Biden-linked transactions in Ukraine, he told the Judiciary Committee that an internal FBI document prepared by a “highly credible” informant detailing an alleged bribery scheme had been discovered.

As previously reported by DailyMail.com, the FD-1023 document contained bombshell claims that Joe Biden and his son Hunter forced a Ukrainian oil executive to pay them $10 million in exchange for the then-Vice President’s influence in firing a senior prosecutor.

Joe was allegedly bribed by Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, with $5 million, according to information received by a trusted FBI informant.

According to the conversation between a confidential source and Burisma CFO Vadim Pojarski in 2015, Hunter Biden was hired to the company’s board of directors to “protect us, through his father, from all kinds of problems.”

Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky told the source: “It costs 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden.”

Zlochevsky added that even though Hunter “was stupid” and his (Zlochevsky’s) dog was smarter, he was needed on the board “so everything will be fine.”

DailyMail.com previously reported that the 17 audio recordings of phone calls – two from Joe Biden and 15 from Hunter Biden – were kept by Zlochevsky as an “insurance policy.”

The FBI FD-1023 form was created on June 30, 2020, based on information from a highly paid informant and brought to the attention of Republicans by a whistleblower.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, obtained and published the document after months of back-and-forth between top Republicans and the FBI over “legally protected disclosures” by Justice Department whistleblowers.

In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, which DailyMail.com obtained this week, Grassley said at least 40 sources within various FBI field offices had provided the bureau with details of possible crimes by the Bidens.

The FD-1023 document contained shocking claims that Joe Biden and his son Hunter forced a Ukrainian oil executive to pay them $10 million in exchange for the then-vice president’s influence in firing a top prosecutor.

In addition, according to the letter, Grassley learned that an FBI task force within the Washington Field Office successfully attempted and succeeded in shutting down reporting from those sources by falsely discrediting the information.

Brady’s investigation included tips from former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani – who claimed in 2019 that he had evidence that Burisma had laundered $3 million through Hunter.

But he told congressional investigators that Giuliani was not the source in the FD-1023 form.

He also added that the source was interviewed again in June 2020 following the original claims made in a 2017 disclosure.

Brady’s testimony comes a month after House Republicans launched an official impeachment inquiry into Joe’s connections to his family’s shady business dealings.

They are also investigating the alleged politicization of the Justice Department during the investigation into the president’s son.
