Fawning Kamala Harris documentary by CNN commentator to be released before election

An unctuous documentary-style short film focusing on Vice President Kamala Harris is set to hit theaters less than a month before the national election.

The film, directed by Samir Zakir and Gerard Pizarro, is titled KAMALA and is largely uncritical of the presidential candidate, focusing on telling fans the “untold stories and personal sacrifices” of Harris’ life.

The film, which will be released on October 25, will feature commentary and interviews from CNN’s Bakari Sellers and MSNBC’s Michelle Bernard, both of whom have strongly endorsed the Democratic Party candidate.

Viewers can also expect Harris to be the “principal storyteller” and see an exclusive interview about her presidential campaign.

Titled ‘KAMALA’, the film, directed by Samir Zakir and Gerard Pizarro, will focus on bringing the ‘untold stories and personal sacrifices’ of Harris’ life to fans

‘KAMALA is a short documentary that captures the underdog journey of Kamala Harris, weaving her meteoric rise through themes of resilience and her commitment to justice and the well-being of all,’ Zakir told DailyMail.com.

He added: ‘The goal of this film is to tell her story through a unique lens – humanizing Kamala Harris by diving into her underdog story – told by underdog filmmakers.

“The unique lens connects her personal and professional journey with her dedication to improving the well-being of all. It’s a compelling message that makes sense!”

A short trailer for the film also features clips from the vice president’s childhood, her Indian and Jamaican roots and her interviews with celebrities including Drew Barrymore and Mindy Kaling.

The documentary also features unique interviews with Harris’ family and a number of ‘friends from her immediate circle’.

News of the short film comes just days after the Golden Globe nominee was seen as Republican candidate Donald Trump in a new clip from the controversial biopic The Apprentice.

Stan, 42, transformed into a younger version of the businessman and former president for a scene with Jeremy Strong as Trump’s disgraced — and ultimately disbarred — attorney Roy Cohn.

The film follows Trump in the 1970s and 1980s as he attempts to build a real estate empire using assets owned by his father, Fred Trump.

The film, set for release on October 25, features commentary and interviews from CNN's Bakari Sellers and MSNBC's Michelle Bernard, both of whom have expressed strong support for the Democratic Party nominee.
