A distraught father pleaded in vain with a leading plastic surgeon not to remove his 20-year-old daughter’s breasts during transgender surgery. In a scathing letter, he wrote that he was about to destroy her life.
The father told counselor Mohsen El Gammal that his daughter suffered from depression and that she had previously self-harmed and starved herself to help with ongoing psychological problems before joining the “trans cult.”
In the heartbreaking letter, he writes to Mr El Gammal, who boasts of performing 1,000 such operations: ‘Ultimately, my daughter is depressed.
‘She sought the thrill of cutting herself, of starving herself, of being mistaken for a boy, of taking testosterone and now of having her breasts amputated.
‘She needs to learn that life is not one long adrenaline rush. That happiness is a more moderate feeling, that comes from within and comes from finding a place and purpose in life.

‘You’re feeding her problem. You’re not helping to solve it.
‘Absolutely not, do not remove my daughter’s breasts.
‘You will one day – a day you will soon forget – destroy her life forever.
“You are depriving her of the opportunity to breastfeed her child; you are depriving her of the opportunity to have a normal, broad group of people from which to choose her life partner; you are harming her irreparably.”
The father, who wishes to remain anonymous to protect his daughter’s privacy, published the letter to The Mail on Sunday to emphasise his inability to protect her.
He says he never received an acknowledgement of receipt for the letter sent in May to the private Cadogan Clinic in Chelsea, west London.
His daughter underwent a double mastectomy last month.
The father told Mr El Gammal: ‘She is 20 years old.
‘Who among us knew at twenty what he would know or think at thirty?
Who among us understood ourselves at 60 the way we did?
Who among us hasn’t done things we regretted almost immediately, let alone things we look back on with disbelief only a few years later?
How can you possibly believe that she can actually give her informed consent to what you’re going to do to her?
She can’t see around the corner, let alone beyond the horizon.
You know this and yet you are willing to trust a piece of paper on which she signs her future well-being.
‘If you decide to operate on her, you may want to take the time, while she is under anesthesia, to look at the extensive scarring on her arms and legs.
These are the scars from the self-harm craze she embarked on in her mid-teens.
‘This was before she started starving herself. This was all before she joined the trans cult.
‘You might want to think about the two GP appointments it took to get a private prescription for testosterone.
“Perhaps you should consider the professional preoccupation within the therapy industry that leads every therapist she has spoken to to take her decision as genuine rather than question its reality.”
He added that ‘instead of trying to reconcile the confusion of mind with body, the vain attempt is made to reconcile the body with the confused mind’.
He told the surgeon: ‘When you go home after destroying my daughter’s life and well-being, long after you forget her name and her surgery, long after you have spent the money you received for this slaughter, long after you have retired, she and those who love her will have to live with the consequences of your actions.
‘But I hope you will still be alive when this malpractice comes to light: the enabling of pseudoscience by the medical profession, in the same way that surgeons in the 1930s in Germany, the US and elsewhere sterilized the ‘feeble-minded’ in the name of eugenics.’

NHS England is planning a review of adult gender equality clinics after whistleblowers raised concerns about the quality of care. However, there is no indication that private clinics will be part of the review.
The research follows on from leading paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass’s review of gender-sensitive services for children in the NHS, which recommended that 17- to 25-year-olds should attend centres for children and young people rather than adult clinics.
The father published his letter to El Gammal after American magnate Elon Musk revealed he has “lost” his 20-year-old son Xavier, now known as a woman named Vivian, after being prescribed sex reassignment medication during the pandemic.
SpaceX and Tesla owner Musk called “gender affirming care” “malign.”
The father who wrote to Mr. El Gammal said: ‘Women and men can become whatever they want.
“They don’t have to conform to anyone’s stereotypes. And by making them conform, we’re putting young people on life-changing medications and surgeries at an age when they don’t really understand the long-term consequences.”
The clinic said last night that it could not comment on a disagreement within the family.
