Father-of-two who took his family on ultra-pricey Disneyland Paris trip reveals his HORROR over the sky-high cost of COCA-COLAS during their stay in Europe

A Canadian father who labeled Disneyland as the “biggest money printing machine in the world” was also shocked to learn that even something as small as soda isn’t cheap in Europe.

Father of two, Mario Zelaya, recently traveled to France with his wife and two sons and decided to take his family to the iconic park when they were in Paris.

However, when he arrived in Europe, he found that things were a bit more expensive than he expected, including some refreshing drinks.

In a video Zalaya shared, he detailed the exorbitant price of a fizzy Coca-Cola at the family hotel in Versailles, revealing that they cost $10.80, or $15 CAD, each.

“The 5-star hotel tax,” Zalaya captioned the video with behind him a photo of the receipt from Bar Galerie, an eatery in the Wadorf Astoria hotel in Versailles, France.

“Look, 30 euros,” the father said incredulously, pointing to the receipt.

The traveler went on to say, “never” in his life had he thought he would “spend $45 on three colas.”

His bill totaled 155 euros – about $167 in USD or $227 in CAD.

Many of his followers were amazed at the skyrocketing price of soft drinks,

‘I did that in Portugal. Wine was cheaper than soda and water,” one user noted

“Europe is sooooo expensive,” wrote another.

Others noted that the man – who is known for posting videos about how to invest and generate wealth – was in no position to complain about money.

“Yes, because Versailles is a universal symbol of austerity,” one joked.

“Tell me you’re using a money lament to emphasize how rich you are from your vacation at Versailles, without telling me,” laughed another.

In another video, Zalaya berated Disneyland Paris for its astronomical prices, saying he was having a “terrible time” because of the “massive bill” he and his family had to pay.

In the now viral video, with more than 383,000 views, the father labeled the day at the famous theme park as a ‘big mistake’.

“I went to Disneyland in Paris. I’m almost ashamed of how much money I spent,” he said in the clip. “The tickets alone, that’s $1,200. Why on earth would I do that?’

Zalaya’s other costs came from upgrading his family to premier passes to skip the line – costing an additional $173 per person, which he said was cheaper than coming back to the park again.

“If you add up all the trips we’ve made, we would have waited over 25 hours,” he explained.

“You’re better off buying a Disney entry pass to skip the line than a three-day park day,” he added.

“The rush is endless,” he declared. “My advice: don’t go to Disney.”
