The father of recently retired UFC star Jorge Masvidal has reportedly been arrested in South Florida after allegedly shooting someone at the home of the mixed-martial arts fighter.

According to the Miami police, Masvidal is not a suspect.

However, Fox Sports 640 Miami reports that after a shooting, the star’s home was flooded, after which Masvidal’s father, Jorge Masvidal Sr., was taken into custody.

Masvidal Sr. is accused of shooting someone, a senior law enforcement official told Fox Sports Radios Andy Slater.

Police have not confirmed the identity of the victim, who was taken to hospital in stable condition. Investigators say he was shot in an upper extremity, possibly in the arm, according to police WSVN. com. Detectives describe the incident as a domestic dispute.
