Father of murdered Harmony Montgomery, 5, convicted of gun possession
The father of murdered five-year-old Harmony Montgomery, who disappeared in 2019 and whose body has still not been found, has been convicted of unrelated gun charges.
Adam Montgomery, 33, was found guilty of six weapons charges, being an armed felon twice, receiving stolen property and theft by unauthorized possession. The most serious charge of an armed criminal, carrying a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.
In January, Adam was indicted and charged separately for the alleged murder of his daughter, Harmony Montgomery, who disappeared in 2019, but authorities did not know she was missing until November 2021.
He is also charged with abuse of a corpse, falsifying evidence and witness tampering.
He is scheduled for trial over the alleged murder of his daughter in November.

On Thursday morning, the Hillsborough County jury — nine women and two men — deliberated for five hours and unanimously found Montgomery guilty of every charge involving a rifle and a shotgun.
He was charged with carrying a shotgun and rifle, even though he has multiple felony convictions in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Associated Press reported.
The shotgun was never recovered.
Montgomery appeared stoic as each juror read their verdict. He will be sentenced in about five weeks.
Kayla Montgomery, the estranged wife of Adam Montgomery, who is serving an 18-month prison sentence and pleaded guilty to charges that she lied to a grand jury about her whereabouts the day she last saw Harmony, was one of the witnesses to the prosecution.
She said during her testimony that Montgomery told her to bring the guns.
Now Adam Montgomery awaits conviction in the gun case and trial for the alleged murder of Harmony.
Senior Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati told WMUR “finding her remains is a top priority.”
“We still don’t know where she is and we are still looking for help,” said Agati Boston 25 News.
Harmony was believed to have been killed around December 2019, but it took two years for authorities to be notified of her disappearance

Harmony disappeared and was allegedly killed around December 2019. The police were not informed of her disappearance until two years later.
An FBI investigation followed later – and that led to police arresting Adam Montgomery in January 2022 in connection with a second-degree assault charge involving his daughter prior to her disappearance.
Harmony had been living with her father and his criminal wife, Kayla Montgomery, in the weeks leading up to her disappearance.
The young girl, who was blind in one eye, was in the care of her father at the time of her disappearance after her mother, Crystal Sorey, lost custody due to substance abuse in July 2018.
Investigators revealed earlier this year that Harmony had been homeless and living out of a car with her family in the days before her disappearance.
The family had been evicted from their apartment on Union Street in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Nov. 27 — a date that falls within the time span of the girl’s disappearance.

Earlier this year, Montgomery was charged with his daughter’s murder – nearly three years after her disappearance.
Kayla, Montgomery’s wife and the missing child’s stepmother, agreed last year to cooperate with the New Hampshire Police Department, according to court documents.
She is currently incarcerated at the New Hampshire Correctional Facility for Women with a release date of 2029 after pleading guilty to perjury charges.
The search for Harmony’s body continues with photographs of Harmony’s last known residence being stormed by the FBI who took evidence, including a refrigerator, from the apartment.
Authorities investigating the highly publicized case made waves in August when they stated they were investigating the girl’s disappearance from New Hampshire as homicide, having learned of it just months earlier, despite her disappearance more than two years earlier. .
At the time, without elaborating, authorities said they believed Harmony had been killed in Manchester in early December 2019.
Those claims seemed to be related to the aforementioned search of the rental apartment that Montgomery, Kayla, and their children called home just days before Harmony’s intended disappearance.
Police were then seen removing evidence, including a large fridge, from the Manchester home, as well as a plethora of other items hidden in various packages.
Authorities have not disclosed what prompted the search – the second for the property in a few months.
However, officials admitted at the time that the Union Street house had become “the focus of the investigation.”
Earlier today, the search for Harmony continued as police searched the Revere wetlands. No new evidence has been made public at this time.
