Father of missing Hannah Kobayashi is found dead after flying into LA to help find her

The father of a missing 31-year-old woman has been found dead after flying to Los Angeles to assist in the search.

Ryan Kobayashi, the father of missing Hannah Kobayashi, flew to LA to search for his daughter who went missing after missing her connecting flight to New York from LAX. She was scheduled to meet family on November 8.

But Ryan, 58, reportedly jumped out of an international airport parking garage around 4 a.m. Sunday, according to NBC Los Angeles.

A coroner has confirmed his death but has not yet provided a cause.

The tragic death comes amid a weeks-long search for the missing woman, who disappeared after missing her connecting flight in LA from Maui, Hawaii, to New York.

In a short clip, the young traveler was captured by a security camera as he stepped off the plane.

In a separate YouTube video outside an event in Los Angeles, Hannah is seen wearing the same clothes that same day.

It remains unclear why she left LA’s LAX airport and ventured into the city 15 miles away, but she sent a text to a friend saying she had had a “spiritual awakening,” and was later seen in the company of a mysterious man.

Her family also revealed that Hannah’s ex-boyfriend also traveled on the same flight from Maui to LAX.

But the duo did not sit together and did not speak during the flight after the former couple bought tickets before parting ways.

Her father, Ryan Kobayashi, said before his death that her former partner had boarded the connecting flight and made it to New York.

He also assured that her ex-boyfriend was extremely responsive and cooperative with the investigation.

‘A lot of worries, a lot of confusion. Everything is just a blur, it seems, because I haven’t slept well since I heard the news, and I really don’t know… it’s just very worrying.

“We’re just trying to get as much information as we can,” he said.

While mom Brandi Yee and sister Sydni Kobayashi believe Hannah left the airport and attended an event based on a series of text messages suggesting she “awakened spiritually and returned to the airport,” a friend believes otherwise.

The anonymous, concerned companion said she was receiving strange text messages from Kobayashi’s phone, indicating she might be in trouble.

‘Please help her, if you can. If you know where she is, or if you have a chance to help her, please. We just want to take her home,” the mother said

Her father, Ryan Kobayashi, said before his death, “A lot of worry, a lot of confusion. It seems like everything is a blur because I haven’t slept well since I heard the news, and I really don’t know… it’s just very worrying.”

‘I was so deceived that I gave away all my money. For someone I thought I loved,” the messages read.

The family also noted that the young artist’s phone has been turned off since November 11 and that her last pinned location was the Los Angeles airport.

“She heard it from Hannah. She was at LAX and said she was scared,” Yee said.

Sydni further added, “She texted her saying she was scared and she couldn’t come home or something. They were just really weird text messages.”

Both Hannah’s mother and sister also believe the messages “didn’t sound like her” and question whether it was Hannah who sent them.

Yee commented, “Yes, we share location,” to which Sydni added, “And we know her phone is turned off because it goes straight to voicemail.

“We tried calling and calling and calling, texting.

“None of the texts are delivered. We can’t find her phone.’

The family filed a missing person’s report with the Los Angeles Police Department, but have since expressed their frustrations with the investigation.

“As of today, police have contacted family members who last spoke to Hannah,” her aunt Larie Pidgeon told DailyMail.com on Thursday.

‘We want them to take it a little more seriously.

“We think they realize we’re not going away and that we’re going to be very loud. We’re going to do something until they do something.

“I think they are now starting the process of what we started six days ago.

‘The whole world is looking for you (Hannah) because you are that special.

‘We won’t stop until we find you. We love you.’
