Condolences are pouring in for a popular Gold Coast businessman who died after being thrown from his car in a high-speed crash during an amateur car racing event at Willowbank in Queensland.
Shane Savage, 41, was the owner/operator of Need a Tow Let Me Know on the Gold Coast and father of young children.
He was at Powercruise #93 at Queensland Raceway over the weekend when disaster struck.
Savage was driving a two-door Holden Torana with his cousin when the vehicle overturned and rolled after an overtaking maneuver, sending both men flying from the car.

“It was quite cruel, it upset us both.”
