Fate of 2025 Grammy Awards in limbo as LA fires continue to rage… after Critics Choice Awards delayed

The fate of the 67th annual Grammy Awards is still up in the air as the deadly LA wildfires continue to rage across Southern California.

The ceremony is currently scheduled for Sunday, February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena and will air on CBS – with Beyonce dominating the list with a total of 11 nominations, including Album of the Year.

Earlier this week on Tuesday, catastrophic fires started amid strong winds in Santa Ana, destroying more than 10,000 structures and raising the death toll to 16 on Saturday, per NBC News.

The host of this year’s ceremony has yet to be announced, as has the list of artists who will take the stage.

Sources informed The Hollywood Reporter that discussions have taken place to possibly postpone the show or turn the event into a fundraiser.

It comes after the 2025 Critics Choice Awards – which were scheduled for Sunday, January 12 – were officially postponed until January 26, amid the fires that have caused devastation across Los Angeles.

There have also been some discussions about a possible benefit concert in collaboration with MusiCares prior to the Grammys.

The Grammy Awards were previously postponed in 2021 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The nominations for the 2025 ceremony were announced two months earlier in November, with Beyoncé leading the way with the most nods.
