A Farmer Wants A Wife contestant has been left furious after producers ‘took apart’ his family home and replaced the furniture to make it more TV-worthy.

Farmer Todd recently joined the series as a new candidate looking for love and has been exploring potential romantic connections on his farm in Baan Baa, NSW.

However, a friend of Todd’s has now exclusively revealed behind-the-scenes filming secrets to Daily Mail Australia, explaining how the show overhauled his family farm for the show.

They claimed that producers replaced all the furniture in Todd’s home with rented items and “took apart” the decor, leaving his family unimpressed.

The source further claimed that producers also suggested painting his walls, but Todd put his foot down and insisted they couldn’t.

“The shoot is long and the invasion of your life is almost unbearable,” Todd’s friend revealed.

“Todd had producers at their parents’ house taking apart his set and that was just on the first day. I don’t think his mother was too happy at the time.’

“The production team decided the farm didn’t look the way they wanted and stripped the entire house of its furnishings and replaced it with rented items,” said a source close to the family.

“They then wanted to paint the walls and then Farmer Todd intervened and said, ‘That’s enough!’

The friend also claimed that the scenes where Todd introduced his romantic interests to his friends took ten hours to film, despite only being on screen for a few moments.

“They let us play games and have a great time (at the local pub), but when it came to what you saw on TV, we were tired and wanted to go home,” they said.

They also insisted that the scenes depicted them as TV villains while criticizing the final editing, leaving viewers shocked.

In the brutal scenes, Todd’s friends told him to look for love elsewhere as they shared their doubts about his connection to Daisy Lamb.

“I think she might be nice right now, but not in the long run,” one partner told the farmer, adding that she was not a good match because she had recently divorced.
