An angry “independent woman in San Diego” bragged about avoiding bus tickets for more than a week and became enraged at security while they spoke to her on board a bus, a new video shows.
Video uploaded to Reddit captured the dramatic altercation between a female passenger on bus 235 from Escondido to San Diego and transit security.
The woman shouted at the workers who called her out for not paying the bus fare.
She told the two guards, “I’ve been doing this for the past week and a half because I’ve been explaining to everyone twice a day that I can’t afford to pay my damn fare. I’m an independent woman in San Diego, so fuck you b***h.”
The bus fare for the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System is $2.50 for a one-way ticket or $6 for a day pass.

San Diego’s bus system offers reduced fares to seniors, Medicare recipients, people with disabilities and passengers between the ages of six and 18.
In the video, the woman repeatedly said, “I’m just trying to get home from work.”
She told the security guards: ‘I’m not getting off the damn bus
“Will you fight this battle with me?” she asked them. “I was trying to be nice and watch this.”
‘I’m autistic, I’m smarter than you. I can manipulate you out of the situation.”
The female passenger shouted, “I can’t afford to pay my damn fare because I’m an independent woman in San Diego so fuck you b***h”
The passenger even bragged to the guards that she had cheated the system for a week and a half by not paying the bus fare.
The San Diego bus driver told transit police, “You could have just been nice. You could have just been nice at first, but you wanted to be ad*ck.”

“I was minding my damn business,” she said, adding “you’re clearly not a good person.”
“Go away, I don’t want you so close to me,” she claims.
Other passengers on the bus refrained from involvement in the drama and quietly minded their own business.
The video showed no resolution or ending to the emotional outburst, but after the video went viral on Reddit, the person who made the video let his viewers know how the debacle ended.
According to the video poster, the incident ended with the “good cop” telling her to take the next bus and to get off.
Fare violations for the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System can result in fines, court appearances or community service, according to the website.
