Fantastic Four star Ioan Gruffudd’s bitter war with ex-wife Alice Evans takes bizarre twist as she accuses him of ‘fraternizing’ with lawyer who calls her ‘Malice’

Fantastic four-star Ioan Gruffudd’s bitter war with his ex-wife Alice Evans has taken a bizarre turn as she accused him of ‘fraternising’ with a female lawyer during a recent appearance at a Los Angeles courthouse.

It started when Evans, 56, was temporarily ejected from the courtroom on September 9 for taking photos inside – apparently of Gruffudd – which is strictly against court rules and could have landed her a contempt charge.

But Evans insists in new court documents found by DailyMail.com that she did not take photos of her 50-year-old ex, but that she photographed a female lawyer in court named Andrea Burkhart.

Evans claims that Burkhart “fraternizes” with Gruffudd, “said horrible things about me” and “refers to me as ‘Malice’ instead of ‘Alice’ in her Twitter posts.”

“I turned around and saw her (Burkhart) and Gruffudd talking, smiling and laughing,” she said. “This is of great concern to me as it appears that Gruffudd is helping Ms. Burkhart make disparaging statements about me on her social media.”

The bitter war between Fantastic Four star Ioan Gruffudd and his ex-wife Alice Evans took a bizarre turn this week when she accused him of “fraternizing” with a mystery woman during a recent appearance together at a Los Angeles courthouse.

Evans takes aim at attorney Andrea Burkhart in explosive new court documents unearthed by DailyMail.com

Evans claims Burkhart “fraternizes” with Gruffudd, “said horrible things about me” and “refers to me as ‘Malice'” instead of “Alice” in her Twitter posts”

In her new lawsuit, Evans includes a photo of Burkhart outside the LA courthouse and lists several online posts by Burkhart that criticize her and support Gruffudd’s claim that Evans’ claims that Evans is “destitute” and unable to to support their two young daughters are not true.

“Alice is simply lying about her financial situation,” Burkhart wrote in an August 2024 post.

“Malice’s own financial disclosures were, shall we say, opaque,” she wrote in a post in July this year.

Burkhart has apparently been following Gruffudd and Evans’ messy divorce for a while, since she posted in April 2023, “She (Alice) has been found to have committed domestic violence.”

Andrea Burkhart says she ‘provides commentary and analysis on high-profile cases based on my nearly two decades of experience as an attorney’

Still, it’s unclear what her interest or involvement in celebrity breakups is about, beyond a YouTube post that reads, “I provide commentary and analysis of high-profile cases based on my nearly twenty years of experience as a lawyer…”

In her new filing, Evans vehemently denies Gruffudd’s complaint last week that she recently breached a restraining order and “disrupted his peace” with persistent “intimidating and insulting” social media posts about him and his fiancée Bianca Wallace.

“I have not violated any court orders,” Evans said.

She does admit that she posted “mean” messages about Gruffudd and Wallace in 2021 and 2022 because “I acted out of emotion after the very sudden end of our marriage.”

But she dismisses her social media posts from last week – the ones Gruffudd called “disparaging” – as merely “general comments about my life, the dissolution proceedings and the legal proceedings in general.”

“They weren’t meant to disturb Gruffudd’s peace.”

She adds: ‘Gruffudd’s complaints show me that he is keen to silence me and doesn’t want me to comment on my life experience.

‘Gruffudd’s supporters also often respond with rants and are rude to me on social media.’

The couple, whose 14-year marriage ended in an acrimonious divorce filing in 2021, are still trying to resolve their child support issues over their two daughters.

Gruffudd spoke in court with Burkhart, according to his ex-wife’s latest filing in their bitter divorce case

In her new legal papers, Evans disputes Gruffudd’s claim that her recent request for the LA Supreme Court judge to issue a protective order regarding her court-ordered deposition is a tactic to delay the case.

“I’m happy to make my statement – I’m not trying to avoid making my statement,” she says, adding that she is seeking a protective order “to ensure that any statement only addresses the remaining issues in this case and does not unnecessarily intrude on my opinion. privacy….’

Judge Stinn will rule on Evans’ request for a protective order during a hearing on October 8.

Gruffudd and Evans formally divorced last July. But they are still fighting fiercely over spousal support, custody and financial support for their two daughters Ella, 15, and Elsie, 11.

During the September 9 court hearing, Judge Josh Freeman Stinn signed an agreement in which Gruffudd will pay $3,000 per month temporary child support and $1,500 per month temporary spousal support until another hearing on February 13, where a more permanent support arrangement will be made.

Gruffudd plans to call Wallace as a witness at the February hearing to testify that Evans “stalked, harassed and abused” her, repeatedly violating a three-year restraining order (DVRO) that she and Gruffudd issued in August 2022, after enduring a “smear campaign” of hateful text messages, emails and social media posts from her.

Evans will hear next Tuesday whether a judge will grant her a protective order, limiting the questions she must answer in her case

Gruffudd is expected to call his fiancée Bianca Wallace to testify in court against Evans, who they allege ‘stalked, harassed and abused’ her in breach of a restraining order.

Gruffudd alleges that Evans “engaged in a pattern of harmful and defamatory conduct towards me, aimed at intimidating and harassing me and my fiancée, Bianca Wallace, whilst alienating our two young children.”

Gruffudd — whose latest film, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, has grossed more than $403 million worldwide — has fought Evans’ demands for more money, claiming he paid about $400,000 more in spousal support he needed under their premarital agreement .

In previous court filings, he called her claims of poverty “exaggerated” and said it is a “false narrative” that she and the children are left destitute.

The former couple met more than twenty years ago on the set of the film 102 Dalmatians. They fell in love in real life and got married in Mexico in 2007.

Gruffudd filed for divorce in March 2021, shortly after Evans announced on social media that her husband of 14 years was leaving her and their two daughters.
