Taylor Swift confirmed that she plans to vote for Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election on Tuesday night. Fans couldn’t help but laugh at Brittany Mahomes for the announcement.
Swift, who has repeatedly supported outgoing Democratic front-runner Joe Biden in the past, openly endorsed Harris — his replacement in this year’s election — for president in an Instagram post following her televised debate with Donald Trump.
More than 3.2 million people liked the pop icon’s Instagram post in just over an hour after she confirmed: ‘“I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election.”
She explained that the vice president “fights for rights and causes that I think need a warrior who can defend them.”
Swift’s support for Harris comes weeks after best friend Mahomes caused a stir by liking one of Trump’s Instagram posts outlining his proposed policies if he regains control of the White House.

Brittany, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, angered Taylor’s loyal “Swiftie” fans after their beloved singer publicly condemned the Republican leader in the run-up to an earlier election.
And after Swift officially endorsed Harris, fans took to social media to root for Mahomes as her fellow Chiefs WAG voted Democrat.
One shared a cheeky WWE meme showing Taylor sneaking up on Brittany in a wrestling ring and hitting her with a chair, writing, “The more I think about it the more I know Taylor Swift’s shagging of Brittany Mahomes was an absolute disaster. Kudos to everyone involved for the timing of debate night.”
Another predicted how Brittany would respond to Swift’s support for Harris with a meme of Mean Girls character Regina George cutting up photos of her and best friend Cady Heron while angrily scrawling insults about her on a notepad.
A third posted a gif of American TV personality Tiffany Pollard joking that she was “comfortable and kicking back” and wrote: “I know Brittany Mahomes is having a panic attack after Taylor Swift announced her support for Kamala.”

But the singer’s post is the latest chapter in her and Brittany’s positions on opposite sides of the American political spectrum. A source told DailyMail.com exclusively that they “respect their different viewpoints” and made a “pact” not to discuss politics last month.
Swift’s show of support also comes less than a week after they were accommodated in several luxury suites for the Chiefs’ season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
