Fans think they’ve found out which footballer is behind masked rapper Dide after matching the TATTOOS on his wrist – and it’s a player no one has thought of until now

  • Social media think they have figured out who the masked football rapper Dide is
  • Dide released a song last week implying he’s a Premier League star
  • But research fans have compared a hand tattoo to an ex-Liverpool player

Social media users claimed to have uncovered the identity of masked rapper Dide after the music star released his first song earlier this week, claiming to be a Premier League player.

The yet-to-be-revealed footballer attracted attention off the pitch after his song ‘Thrill’ went viral and suggestions around his identity began to surface.

Dide makes several suggestions throughout the song that he is a Premier League footballer and social media has delved into clips in an attempt to reveal his identity.

Now a Twitter user believes they’ve found out who Dide really is after drawing comparisons between a Championship player’s tattoo and one on the rapper’s hand.

That player is former Reading and Liverpool player and current Cardiff City star Sheyi Ojo, who has been blamed as the person behind Dide’s decorative face mask.

Who is DIDE? Questions about the rapper’s identity first surfaced last week

Social media suggestions claim Cardiff City star Sheyi Ojo (right) is DIDE

The music video is set in London and phrases like ‘my team keeps winning’ and ‘every game is like a final’ initially led people to believe that this was one of Arsenal’s current crop of young stars.

Born in Watford, Ojo would fit the profile of a London artist who viewers believe is the rapper and, at age 25, would fit the youthful look that appeared in the shots.

The instant comparison was made because of a tattoo on the rapper’s hand and Ojo’s wrist which looked similar in design.

A zoomed-in photo shows DIDE inked with a diamond on his right wrist that resembles Ojo’s who was photographed posing in a Rangers jersey when he played for the club between 2019 and 2020.

Filming in London would also point to Ojo, given his Watford roots and ties to Milton Keynes Don’s youth academy.

DIDE was originally thought to be a Premier League player due to the lyrics in the song

Ojo first made a name for himself in the youth ranks at MK Dons before being snapped up by Livepool in 2011.

He made eight first-team appearances for the Reds and was sent off on eight loan contracts before moving permanently to Cardiff City last summer.

The winger has made 34 appearances this season for the Bluebirds in their quest to stay in the Championship division.

Betting didn’t even put Ojo among their favorites to back Dide’s identity, with Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah the most likely candidate.
