The Block: Tree Change viewers have slammed the show’s contestants for ‘not respecting the heritage’ designs of the Macedon Ranges properties after photos emerged of their near-completed projects.
The images show the properties with large contemporary extensions which have been tacked onto the small original homes.
Fans of the show labelled the designs as ‘ugly’ and ‘hideous’ across several Facebook pages.

According to Kidspot, one wrote: ‘Why bother putting little old farmhouses there if you’re just going to dwarf them with hideous and completely unsympathetic extensions?’
‘The additions totally destroy the look of the original homes,’ another agreed.
‘I can’t believe how bad these look,’ a third person said.
‘Don’t get me wrong there are a lot of modern homes in Gisborne… but to get houses relocated and to put the modern extensions as a separate walk through, just doesn’t suit its location on 10 acres of beautiful countryside,’ another commented.

‘If any house would make me angry, it’s doing this to that beautiful house we walked through,’ Shaynna said as she toured the space.
‘It’s not a bathroom I’m feeling good in.’

Shaynna chastised the pair, saying they better do their homework on Victorian-era homes.
‘Are you going to treat [the house] like this? ‘Cause if you’re going to treat her like this, you’re going to have to deal with me,’ Shaynna continued.
‘They need to do some homework … really quick.’
Sharon was less than pleased with the criticism and broke down in tears. It came after scoring just 20.5 out of a possible 30.
