Fans have criticized Gary Neville after he suggested Manchester United should have been awarded a penalty in their clash with Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s men had already taken the lead within twenty minutes thanks to a close-range shot from Leandro Trossard.
As United searched for an equalizer, Amad Diallo headed into the penalty area via Thomas Partey’s outstretched leg after 36 minutes. The referee allowed play to continue and VAR cleared the incident.
Neville appeared to suggest that Partey had caught Diallo, saying: ‘The only question is that Partey is on the ground and just has his right leg out.

Fans took to social media to criticize Marcel’s ‘biased’ comments on Sky Sports.

Meanwhile, former United striker Rooney insisted it was not a penalty but claimed Partey was ‘very lucky’ not to be penalised.
‘He said: I don’t think it’s a penalty. I think Partey was very lucky. He gets up early, and then luckily he gets a little tap on the ball. So for me it is not a punishment, but Partey is very lucky here.
