Cindy finally told George the truth and viewers were treated to flashback scenes set in Marbella in Spain in 2014.
The flashback showed her leaving him and her daughters after learning that Lucy, her daughter, had died.
During a secret visit to the square, Cindy was seen watching Ian (Adam Woodyatt) from afar, mourning the gruesome loss.
Cindy was then approached by DCI Mary Nicholls, her witness protection counselor, who forced her to get into her car.
While chatting in the car, they were briefly interrupted by Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb.
He asked for the time and started talking about meeting his friends and getting a kebab.
He also mentioned his “retired” friend and landlady Dorothy “Dot” Branning (late June Brown).

Another said, “I miss Fatboy!”
A third added: ‘Absolutely breathtaking ending tonight. Oh and Fatboy, he’s not dead, believe me’
Ricky was suspended from EastEnders in 2014 after a video was leaked of the star allegedly smoking marijuana and performing a sex act on Skype.
The BBC bosses decided to suspend Ricky from filming for two months when the photos of him first came to light, with the actor apologizing for his actions.
Ricky starred in the online spin-off show E20 before rising to fame on the long-running soap opera.
Following his departure from the soap, Ricky revealed that he suffered from depression and discussed his struggles on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.

He added that despite leaving the soap after the scandal, he was pleased with the work he had accomplished and what could happen in the future.
