Fans left shocked as Robert Irwin’s secret name revealed in resurfaced home video
Irwin fans have been left stunned by a revelation in a resurfaced home video of the world-famous family.
The video, which was recently shared by Instagram account The Female Quotient, shows the moment five-year-old Bindi Irwin met her newborn brother Robert for the first time in 2003.
In the footage, her late father Steve introduces Bindi to the newest member of the family, but the older sister gives her newborn brother a completely different name than Steve and their mother, Terri, had chosen.
“I think, given his personality, I’ll call him Brian,” Bindi announced in the video.
“His name is Robert,” Steve told his daughter.
Undeterred, Bindi said, “But I call him Brian for short,” before Steve finally relented and replied, “Okay.”
“How do you know it’s a boy?” Bindi asked Steve in another moment of the adorable video.
“Did you check it?”

“They’re not born with clothes on, Bindi,” Steve patiently explained to his daughter in the clip.
Fans are now demanding Bindi comment on whether the family still uses Robert’s alternative name behind closed doors.
“Can someone ask Robert Irwin if his sister still calls him Brian?” one fan commented on the video shared to Instagram.
“Bindi brings chaos, well I call him Brian,” added another.
“Her job was to name the animals at the zoo,” one loyal fan explained in the comments. “So she assumed she would name her little brother, it’s SO CUTE.”

Today, 20-year-old conservationist Robert Irwin is one of Australia’s most in-demand media talents.
The beloved TikTok star made a huge impression on fans when he co-hosted Channel Ten’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia, alongside 56-year-old presenter Julia Morris.
He was nominated for a Gold Logie for his first regular TV appearance and is also currently presenting and fronting a tourism campaign in Queensland.

Steve ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin died on September 4, 2006 at the age of 44 off the coast of Queensland after being stung in the chest by a stingray while filming a nature documentary.
Bindi was six years old when he tragically passed away, while Robert was three months away from his third birthday.
It was Steve’s father, Bob, 85, who built the iconic Queensland zoo from scratch in 1970 and passed it on to his late son and wife Terri in 1992.
During his lifetime, Steve was committed to conservation with his own successful TV show, The Crocodile Hunter.
His family continued his legacy with their own blockbuster wildlife reality series, Crikey! It’s the Irwins, which debuted in 2018 and continues to air on the Animal Planet network.
