Fans left shocked after Caitlin Clark makes stunning admission about her Indiana Fever coach Christie Sides
Caitlin Clark has left fans in disbelief after blowing the lid on what it’s like to play under Indiana Fever coach Christie Sides.
Clark, the No. 1 pick in this year’s WNBA Draft, is enjoying a whirlwind rookie season with the Fever after breaking a host of records in her historic college career at Iowa.
Despite being at the center of widespread controversy, the 22-year-old is already justifying the hype on the court and leads the way for rookies in points per game with 16.2.
And remarkably, it seems like she’s earning her stripes in the big leagues without much guidance on the field.
Following Indiana’s 89-77 loss to the Seattle Storm on Friday night, Clark was asked what the best advice she’s received from a veteran teammate so far this season was.

Yet her stunning response has drawn Sides fierce criticism on social media.
‘No one gives me advice in the game. I wish,” she admitted.
Although the question was initially about Clark’s teammates, fans quickly responded to X by attacking Sides and questioning her influence as a coach.
Someone wrote: ‘@fever Remind me again… Why is @ChristieSides even head coach?’
“Sides need to go,” another user commented.
A third posted: ‘oh christie kanten, counting your days’.
A fourth said: ‘The COACH could do that…’
While they simply said: ‘Goodbye “Coach” Sides’.
During last Sunday’s loss to the Chicago Sky, a clip of Clark appearing to argue with Sides on the field surfaced on social media.

Fans quickly took to social media to criticize Sides and call for Indiana to fire the coach
It was a disappointing night for Indiana, who gave up the lead in the final two and a half minutes of the game and were unable to regain it. Angel Reese, Chennedy Carter and Camilla Cardoso led Chicago to victory at the end of the game.
While the hosts finished strongly at the Wintrust Arena, Clark failed to impress in the latter stages of the match, having opted on several occasions to pass to teammates rather than go for glory himself.
Incredibly, the former college sensation made just two shots in the final seven minutes despite being one of the best shooters in women’s basketball for years.
Fans were outraged by her lack of involvement in the fourth quarter, with some calling on Clark to be more “selfish” and others pointing the finger at Sides’ tactics.
And as Sunday’s game came to a close, the aforementioned pair had what appeared to be a heated argument on the field.
Clark could be seen gesturing furiously with her right arm as she spoke to Sides, before the Fever coach responded to her complaints.

However, her player didn’t seem too pleased with the response and instead threw both arms up before sighing to make her frustrations known.
One user suggested on social media: ‘Christie Sides and Caitlin Clark got into a fight towards the end of the game. Clark didn’t like Sides’ game plan.
“This is going to be a problem because Christie Sides is not in the pick and roll anymore, Chicago had a hard time stopping it. Indiana would have won this game.”
