- Erling Haaland celebrated Man City’s victory over Newcastle with a splash of milk
- Oscar Bobb scored a winner in the 90th minute to see City beat Newcastle 3–2
- Is it a midlife crisis for De Bruyne? A great player, but what about the new look? Is he recording a song? Go back to being boring Kevin! It all starts
Erling Haaland celebrated Man City’s victory over Newcastle on Saturday afternoon in the most Erling Haaland way possible.
The 23-year-old star is struggling to overcome a foot problem that left him unable to walk after last month’s loss to Aston Villa, but appears to be doing everything he can to aid his recovery.
Haaland – who was ruled out of Saturday’s match against Newcastle due to the aforementioned injury – watched his team do the work from home and celebrated their 3-2 win at St James’ Park with a bizarre drink.
The Norwegian striker took to social media to post a selfie celebrating Oscar Bobb’s 90th-minute winner, writing the accompanying caption: ‘Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah’.
Haaland went on to joke that he needed a chance after the stress of Manchester City’s late comeback. However, fans couldn’t help but laugh when he turned the camera around.

Haaland’s ‘shot’ was in fact a glass of milk.
Fans couldn’t help but laugh at Haaland’s post. One supporter joked: ‘Bruh Erling Haaland Dey take Milk shots!’. Another added: “He can’t deny he’s a farmer. I love him.’
One fan joked: ‘Haaland sipped his milk and watched his teammates win a tough away game and his buddy Sancho finally play football again. What a day it must be for him.’
Last year, the 23-year-old described the Hannibal Lecter-style diet during a documentary called Haaland: The Big Decision. Where he talked about enjoying eating large pieces of heart and liver.
Haaland also confessed that he drinks water through a complicated filtration system, is a fan of ice baths and wears glasses that filter blue light to improve his sleep, in addition to his 6,000 calorie per day diet.
Haaland hopes the milk will help him recover from the foot injury he has been struggling with since last month’s match against Aston Villa.
Manchester City’s medical team withdrew the Norwegian striker from training this week and ruled him out for his ninth match on Saturday when Pep Guardiola’s side took on Newcastle.
On his injury, Guardiola said: ‘Hopefully he will be ready at the end of this month. It was a little more than we expected. It’s a bot, it takes time. We missed him.’
Haaland has now done everything he can to get over the injury. In a post to his Instagram Story, the Man City star was bare-chested in a selfie on Friday evening, which showed him wearing the breathing aid over his mouth.
He captioned the post: “Think outside the box.”
Haaland revealed that he often tapes his mouth shut and wears special glasses while sleeping
The Norwegian previously revealed his bizarre diet of heart and liver which has helped his game
In August, Haaland stated that he tapes his mouth shut before going to sleep and also revealed that he wears glasses that block blue light for three hours before bed.
On Logan Paul’s podcast, Haaland said: “I think sleep is the most important thing in the world.
‘So to get a good night’s sleep, simple things with blue blocking glasses, which block out all signals in the bedroom.
‘Doing a lot of things is not good, but doing small things every day for a longer period of time really pays off.’
