Arsenal secured a bonus point by winning a 2-1 penalty shootout, with goalkeeper Karl Hein making four saves in a subpar game.

The worst penalty was saved until the end when Hein caught Cherki’s Panenka, and the Estonian made his fourth save.

And fans weren’t impressed.

One fan tweeted: “Probably the worst penalty shootout ever.”

A second said: ‘I’ve just seen some of the worst penalties from both teams, worse than Spain against Morocco.’

The result gives Arsenal four points at the start of the friendly competition, in which Liverpool and AC Milan also participate.

Arsenal will face the Italian champions on Tuesday before flying back to London to continue their preparations for the resumption of the Premier League season.
