Fans have jokingly claimed that Jude Bellingham’s ‘Spanish gene has been unlocked’ during Real Madrid’s drunken Champions League title celebrations after he gave two perfect interviews.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have now returned to Madrid and celebrated with their fans in an open-top bus parade.
The 20-year-old was first spotted giving a Spanish interview to fans at the Bernabeu who had come to watch their side hand them the Champions League trophy.
In a video published on X (formerly Twitter), Bellingham takes the microphone and addresses the Madrid fans in the stadium with the words ‘Hola Madridstas’.
The England star appeared to lead the stadium in a chat as his teammates danced and cheered him on while standing on a pedestal in the center of the stadium, before Bellingham appeared to thank fans for their support.

He was later featured in a separate video with another interview in Spanish after the team’s open bus parade. Standing atop the bus, he conducted another interview in Spanish as he took in the festivities around him.
In the video, Bellingham appears to give an impassioned speech to the club’s fans, before shouting ‘Hala Madrid’ into the microphone and hugging the interviewer.
And some claim Madrid’s boozy title celebrations ‘brought out his Spanish gene’, with one fan on X writing: ‘Few drinks have unlocked Jude’s Spanish gene. Bro did the whole interview in Spanish lol.”
Others were astonished at how Bellingham became so good at Spanish so quickly: “How did he learn so quickly….”
‘He even got those Z pronunciations right. This boy will be the biggest star in world football this generation!’ another added.
Looking back at the video of Bellingham on top of the team bus, several supporters claimed that Bellingham was “gone.”

Some joked that Bellingham had apparently enjoyed a few drinks, while others were charmed by his Spanish speaking skills
“He’s gone,” another wrote with a laughing face emoji, while a second fan echoed their sentiment, adding: “Jude Bellingham is gone!”
“No joke, his Spanish is still getting good,” added another, charmed by Bellingham’s Spanish, while one said: “His Spanish accent and pronunciation are actually really good for the time he’s been there hahah.”
Bellingham, who joined the club for £113 million last summer, has returned an impressive 23 goals and 13 assists. He has now also helped his side win the LaLiga title, the Spanish Super Cup and the Champions League, with some comparing his achievements to those of Gareth Bale.
“What Bale couldn’t do in 10 seasons, Jude did in one,” a fan added on X.
The England midfielder helped his side to a 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on Saturday evening and although Bellingham put in a quiet performance by his own standards, he provided the assist that allowed Vinicius Jr. scored his team’s second goal.
Full-time celebrations erupted on the pitch, leaving Bellingham speechless after winning his first Champions League title in his first season at the club. The party appeared to continue late into the night, with the 20-year-old superstar seen dancing on the team bus as he posed for photos with the trophy.

It’s not the first time the English superstar has impressed fans with how quickly he seems to have picked up Spanish. Bellingham recently wowed fans by speaking fluent Spanish during Real Madrid’s LaLiga title parade.
He gave a rallying cry ahead of the Champions League final, telling fans: “Thank you very much for your support and the love shown this season,” he said.
‘We have another big game at Wembley. We are going to win. Come on Madrid.’
