Fans have joked that Newcastle assistant Jason Tindall could be taking a leaf out of Kevin Nolan’s book with his courtesy on the touchline.
Nolan gestured for Jurgen Klopp to be the first to shake Moyes’ hand after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with West Ham on Saturday in a show of respect.
It is customary for managers to shake hands after a match, but Tindall, Eddie Howe’s assistant at Newcastle, often doesn’t get the memo.
Last season he went viral with a compilation in which he broke tradition and stepped in to shake hands before Howe could.
On one occasion, Wolves boss Gary O’Neil even turned him down to follow the usual procedure.

After Nolan Klopp showed Moyes’ direction, fans claimed Tindall would do well to take notes.
“The Newcastle assistant would definitely not like it if Howe shook hands in front of me,” wrote one user on X, formerly Twitter.
‘NUFC assistant coach must learn!’ said another.
“That Tindall would have immediately come over for a selfie with his autograph book out,” someone commented.
Another gave Tindall a new name, writing: “Jason Tiddle would have been on it straight away.”
“Enough to make Jason Tindall roll over in his sunbed,” one joked.
Nolan was praised for his friendly behaviour: ‘Well played Kev. Traditionally, managers shake hands first.’
In fairness to Tindall, his status as Newcastle assistant is seemingly higher than that enjoyed by other managerial sidekicks.
Howe has encouraged Tindall to have a strong presence on the touchline and that would explain his behaviour
Howe has revealed that this is something he wants: ‘We are both very active on the sidelines and I have encouraged Jason to be that way.
‘We were really a partnership when we started in management – we try to do everything we can to help the players.’
Technically, he will often be at Howe’s side, making him an inseparable double act.
In March he appeared on Sky Sports’ Guess the Footballer show alongside Howe. Klopp also took part in the match, but did so alone.

Last season, Howe even joked that Tindall really likes the spotlight.
He admitted Tindall has an ‘eye for the camera’ after a viral X account said he is ‘desperate to be the center of attention’.
