Fans go wild over ‘illegal’ detail in Robert Irwin’s Instagram post: ‘I hope you’ve got a permit’

Fans of Robert Irwin noticed an impressive detail in his latest social media post.

The 20-year-old famed conservationist shared a humorous video of a rock formation on Instagram on Monday.

In the clip, Robert stands next to a rock formation, dressed in a T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops, while playing Coldplay’s song Green Eyes.

He then lip-synced the lyrics of the song ‘Honey you are a rock’ while pointing to the large formation.

But eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that Robert had impressively muscular arms as he raised his arms in the air.

“I hope you have a permit for those guns mate! Open carry is illegal in Australia!” someone wrote on the post.

‘Bro can improve the entire Australian ecosystem with that GUN!!’ another fan commented.

“Stop lifting the whole of Australia, mate,” someone else joked.

“Damn I didn’t realise you had guns,” wrote one enthusiastic fan, while another replied: “You must be strong enough to fend off the kangaroos.”

Someone wrote: ‘Guys, he’s wrestling with CROCODILES, literally DINOSAURS, he needs to train or play the part.’

“Broooo, this has nothing to do with the rocks, this is all a display of weapons,” joked another.

It comes after the TV star revealed his surprise new career move, just weeks after picking up a milestone nomination for the prestigious Gold Logie.

The conservationist has been making waves on screen since his debut as presenter of I’m A Celebrity Australia, making history as the youngest star to earn a Gold Logie nomination.

However, he has now announced that he will soon be taking a new career step away from television and will be expanding his career as a product influencer and will be the face of a new campaign.

The presenter shared images of herself on Instagram on Monday in a new campaign for meal delivery service HelloFresh.

In the paid promotion, Robert can be seen talking to a number of animals at Australia Zoo in Queensland, while promoting the service.

Robert, who has recently been criticised for not being vegan despite being a conservationist, explained how one change to meal plans can ‘add fish to a vegetarian dish’.

“HelloFresh has made planning meals for the whole family as easy for us humans as it is for you,” Robert tells Albie the echidna.
