Fans go wild for ‘incredible’ Caitlin Clark behind-the-back dribble as Indiana Fever rookie continues to take the WNBA by storm
After injuring her ankle in a match against the Atlanta Dream on Monday, Caitlin Clark grabbed her opponents’ ankles.
Clark sprained her ankle in the first quarter. It was a terrifying scene, with the star player lying on the ground and screaming in pain.
She eventually returned to the dance floor and put on a show for fans at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.
One of her highlights of the evening was an ankle-breaking dribble behind her back that dazzled and entranced her.
Clark’s quick change of direction caught the ankles of Dream defender Maya Caldwell.

She then made up for her effort with a nice drive to the basket and a lay-in for two points
It was one of those plays that looked fantastic at full speed, but looked even better slowed down.
Clark didn’t just stop to clear Caldwell, she then drove into the lane and made the contested layup to break the play.
Clark fans were left in disarray when the clip of the play surfaced, with many praising the former Iowa star.
“The whole crowd was shocked,” one person said on Twitter, referring to the audience’s reaction to the play.
Another wrote: ‘This girl is so good. How anyone could hate her or her playing is just plain bizarre.’
“I think she can play in the NBA,” one wrote, while another simply said, “She’s incredible.”

Another decided to make a prediction about the Rookie of the Year race between Clark and Chicago Sky center Angel Reese, saying, “Please stop with all these ROTY debates (laughing emoji), it’s not even close.”

Overall, Clark had 19 points on 6 of 14 shooting, with seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals in the 85-79 win over the Dream.
Indiana’s Kelsey Mitchell led the team with 29 points and seven rebounds, while Aliyah Boston had a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Dream were led by veteran center Tina Charles, who had 28 points and eight rebounds as one of four starters to score in double figures.
Indiana is currently the seventh seed in the WNBA playoffs and the team is three and a half games out of the postseason. They are 11.5 games behind league-leading New York Liberty.
